Daniel Peacock

Daniel Peacock is a graduate of the Art Center for Design, Los Angeles and works variously as a film director, art director and freelance illustrator for a variety of clients including the Los Angeles Times Magazine and the LA Weekly.

Influenced by black and white cartoons from the 1930s he started painting in the mid 1990's after years of filling up books with doodles, characters and scribbles.

His drawing influences range from 1930s animation, marimba music, Neo Rausch, Amedeo Modigliani, and a good cup of green tea.

He is uncomfortable with revealing anymore of his persona, preferring the work to speak on his behalf. His work has been included in recent exhibitions at the Mendenhall-Sobieski Gallery in Pasadena, La Luz de Jesus in Los Angeles, and BGH Gallery in Santa Monica.
