XNO

Chet Darmstaedter aka XNO started his career at Memphis Art College in the 1980’s. He started doing illustrations for punk rock mag Malice where he got his name XNO. Soon he was doing self-published underground comics with his own company XEX Graphics. This led to him getting published in Robert Crumb's comic Weirdo and Ray Zone's 3-D comics with such notables as R.K. Sloane and Ed ‘Big Daddy’ Roth.

In the 90’s his career got a kick-start with a show at La Luz De Jesus Gallery alongside R.K. Sloane. Since then he has done several one-man shows and has been in many group shows including New York’s Psychedelic Solution and Los Angeles’s Tamara Bane Gallery.

XNO was exhibited at the Laguna Art Museum in a Group Showing last year. He has done skateboard designs for Veriflex and surfboard graphics for Slap On.

He has been published in Thrasher and Hustler and completed a stint providing MTV with animated graphics. He worked on the movie Zombo and recently completed a series of hand painted sculptures for Dimmensional Designs.
